Biography
Rohullah Nikpai, born on June 15, 1987, in Kabul, Afghanistan, is an Afghan taekwondo athlete who won Afghanistan's first-ever Olympic medal — a bronze medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics (58 kg category). He followed this with another bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics (68 kg category), making him one of Afghanistan's most decorated athletes. Nikpai's Olympic achievements brought immense pride to Afghanistan and inspired a generation of Afghan athletes. Despite training in difficult conditions, his determination and talent made him a global figure. He has been a symbol of hope for Afghan sports and continues to be involved in promoting taekwondo in Afghanistan.
