Biography
Ramy Essam is an Egyptian singer and activist who became the 'voice of the Egyptian Revolution' during the 2011 uprising. Born in 1987, his songs at Tahrir Square, including 'Irhal' (Leave), became anthems of the revolution. He has continued to use his music as a tool for political and social activism.
